Don't Do It People – I'm sorry. I'm a single parent and I'm struggling. I can hardly buy food half of the time. However, My payments were up to date. Due on July 30th. I requested an extension for the 12th. I had to get tires for the car so I requested an extension for the 26th (next payday). I spoke to some rude, nasty girl named Irene that tries to use bullying tactics to get your car payment. I spoke to her during work when I got off work my car was shut off. I couldnt make a payment if I wanted to because those dipshits couldnt at least gave me until the end of the day to get money so that I can at least try to make some kind of a payment. People, do not use them I guess they changed to Golden Acceptance now because that's how they answer the phone. Well, I suggest not using any company that uses those devices. Because when you really are in a financial bind having that over your head does not help.
MY OPINION ABOUT RELIANT – WELL I BEEN WITH RELIANT FOR ONE YEAR AND NEVER HAD A PROBLEM..BUT I DO KNOW THAT EVERYTIME I HAVE A QUESTION OR NEED AN ADDRESS TO SENT A PAYMENT THE GIRLS THAT WORK THERE ARE REALLY REALLY UNPROFESSIONAL....I FEEL LIKE THE HATE THEIR JOB IVE NEVER BEEN LATE ON A PAYMENT....I ALWAYS PAY IT AT WALMART BUT IS A 10 DOLLAR CHARGE EVERYTIME SO LATELY IVE BEEN SENDING A CHECK LIKE TWO WEEKS BEFORE MY CAR PAYMENT IS DUE BECAUSE I READ SOME BAD REVIEWS SAYING THAT THE CHECKS SEEM TO GET LOST WHEN YOU MAIL THEM AND YOU GET CHARGE A LATE FEE,,, WELL THAT HASNT HAPPEN TO ME BUT I HOPE IT NEVER DOES SINCE NOW I DECIDED TO SENT CHECKS AND SAVE MONEY IN MAKING A PAYMENT AT WALMART,,,, WELL ALSO FOR THOSE THAT GOT A CAR REPO BY THEM YOU SHOULD GET A LAWYER BECAUSE BY LAW THEY CANT PICK UP YOUR BECAUSE YOU WERE LATE COUPLE DAYS OR EVEN A MONTH READ THE LAWS PEOPLE AND KNOW YOUR RIGHTS ALSO ONE THING I DO HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THEM IS THAT WE SHOULD ALL BE THANKFUL THAT THEY GAVE US AN OPPORTUNITY TO FINANCE A CAR ESPECIALLY IF WE HAD A BAD CREDIT HISTORY..;)
great company – I have been dealing with this company for about 1 1/2 years now and i have never had any problems, actually they have been extremely friendly and helpful to me. Sure a lot of individuals have bad credit or just trying to get back on their feet, and this company has agreed to help, so the people who want to play the "poor me" and the blame game don't do it to the people who are trying to help, remember if u haven't messed up u wouldn't have needed help. It's called being responsible – I want to be one of the few on here that actually take responsibility for my actions. Prior to getting a loan from Reliant my credit score was in the toilet. Why? Because I didn't pay my bills on time. Since then I have grown up and become a positive member of society. I've read a bunch of complaints on here and find it interesting that none of the writers (including the so called professionals) take personal accountability for their poor credit. We need to remember that this company loans money to irresponsible people. When you pay them on time you are fixing what you have already ruined, your credit. Most of the writers admit they still cannot get their payment in on time. Here is the solution. 1. Don't buy things you cannot afford. 2. Your problems (including financial) are not valid reasons to expect others, including Reliant to wait on the money you owe them. 3. Take your business elsewhere. Although I doubt you can if you're still paying your bills late. I've had my loan for almost 2 years now and have never ever been called by Reliant. I'm sure it's because I make my payment on time. About a year ago I lost my job but I didn't feel the need to call my creditors to whine about it. I spent my time on the internet searching for a job as opposed to complaining on a public message boards. Get a life! And for the so called teacher's posting, take an English course. You have no business teaching our children based on your writing skills.
Horrible customer service – I read bad reviews online regarding this financial corp but believed the customers who wrote the reviews to be angry customers with payment problems who were taking out their frustrations. WRONG. In January of 2010, I wrote my usual check but mistakenly wrote Jan 2009 instead. The company could not cash it and I immediately sent another check and apologized profusely when made aware of the situation. Then the calls started because I was late in my payment and the people were rude even though I took care of the problem the same day it was brought to my attention. One rep, Juan, even went so far as to say he did not believe that I had sent the check. I asked him to check with accounting because return receipt said that it had been received and signed for. Eventually he did and guess what, they found the check...but no apology and he started in about next month's payment when it was not even due for 19 more days. All bookkeepers/accountants know that sometimes a problem just needs to be researched and it is solved, but nastiness just makes life unpleasant. Whether my mistake or their's, I wanted to just work things out, but I really think that Juan has some real anger issues. When I called to complain about Juan's behavior, the customer service supervisor Geeta (I am not sure that is how I should spell it) would not take my call and I was referred to another account representative who said, "This call is not about how you are feeling, I am not your friend, this call is about your payment being 12 days late". Since I was the one who originated the call...silly me...I thought I got to say what the call was about.
In the past, whenever I have had a problem with a person or with a company, I take that problem to the person/company first so that we may resolve it and continue to do business instead of badmouthing them and not giving them a chance to resolve the issue. This time, though, I wish to warn other consumers....buyer beware...not only is the customer not king, but is considered to be criminal, even if proven otherwise.
PS - I would have given this company no stars, but it would not take a review without some type of rating.
DISGUSTING WORTHLESS PEOPLE – i have been a customer for 6 months now and i have never been late. my due date was last thursday and they called me friday harrasing me and treating me like i was a criminal. Dont be afraid with these people treat them like they treat you.. Lucky for me i can stand up for myself and i dont let anyone talk down to me. I dont know how a company can treat people like the way they do... i just hope one day they get shut down. These worthless people working there should all get fired. We should start calling them and cussing them out for no reason to see how they feel... We should all call every single day and harrass them and belittle them like they do us.
Worthless Company that Wont Last!! – We have NEVER been late with a payment and when we fell behind 10 DAYS due to being laid off - These People would not accept any payment arrangements- They called and Harrassed our neighbors, Friends and Family...They told me that they didn't have time to BABYSIT my Husband!!? WTF!?
I am tempted to give them back the POS car we financed just to start over with a different finance Company!

These people were spawned from SATAN!!!! – The lady apparently in charge of my account is Julie....Im a little bit late I had lost my job and gotten a bit behind...I have talked to them several times explaining the situation and when I would be able to pay. She called me one night on HER cell phone being rude as usual. I asked her to not talk to me like a child, she then told me "then quit acting like one" I told her she can't talk to me like that and she said "I can talk to you however the f--- I want to". My dad called to complain about her and they hung up on him. These people are unbelieveable. Worst customer service, worst attitudes ever. Im sorry if their lives are just so miserable that they have to take it out on customers. I would never reccomend them to my worst enemy!!!! The only reason I gave them one star is because I had to to publish this >=(
THREATENING CUSTOMER SERVICE – I have a car loan through this company since July and it has been the worst experience. They call me and threaten me about repo when they have my car payment. I do auto banking and know when my payments are received and I have been lied to on a regular basis about when payments were received also lied to about being left messages when the only phone I have is my cell phone. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
