Do *NOT* sit inside :(. I would *NOT* recommend the Loft Restaurant inside. Instead, sit _outside_. They crowd you into a room with little light and a very small window. The view from this room is lackluster compared to the view from the balcony. Instead, choose to reserve an _outside_ seat.

[Pros]

+ Great service.

+ Great for groups.

[Cons]

- Poor scenic view from the indoor loft restaurant location.

- Pricey -- not a great deal for the $$$, unless you are wealthy. $1200 minimum to reserve the indoor room. With taxes/fees/gratuity, this comes out to be ~$1500.

- $25 "wine corkage fee", PER BOTTLE, when you bring your own...really? If you bring in four bottles of your own wine, they charge you $100 for seemingly no reason. Perhaps this is useful if you have a $500 bottle of wine, but not if the corkage fee costs more than the bottle. Thanks ... but I will just purchase a new bottle in that case ;)

- 22% mandated service charge on $1200 is a fair bit of money, unless you are wealthy of course.

- $6 per cup of coffee, but the coffee wasn't very good.

- The food was OK, but not great, which is less than I had hoped.

- Parking is expensive too :(

Me and my mothers favorite escape. My favorite spa in California. My mother and i have many mother-daughter-get-aways at various spa"s around California. The montage spa is our favorite. We always begin the day with an amazing bloody mary in the hotels bar overlooking the ocean. Then we retreat to the spa for the day where we lounge and sip on mamosa"s in a waterfall jacuzzi, brave the cold plunge pool, and enjoy the large spacious steam room (all in an indoor/outdoor spa facility). I have only tried the amazing hot oil scalp treatments and the montage signature facial, both i have gone back for repeatedly. The facial envolves a rhythmatic anti-aging massage that not only stimulates collagen and gives immediate results but will also put you to sleep. I would live here if it were not for the prices.

Really? Can't use the spa?. For $700 a night I think a resort should sort out their spa so that all guests can use the steam room during the hours the spa is open. I would not stay at this resort again as we were turned away from the spa because it was "too full". Also, the woman working the desk at the spa was less then pleasant

A hideaway in Laguna Beach. This is one of the most beautiful properties I have ever scene. Although the elegance is understated, you immediately feel the exclusivity of this Laguna Beach Retreat as soon as you walk through the front door.

You are greeted by your own private hotel concierge who will check you in and then show you the grounds, starting with the spectacular view overlooking the pool and the cliffs down to the ocean.

The restaurants on property are spectacular. Studio is an exclusive ocean view restaurant frequented by celebrities.

The Loft is open for B, L, D and has a cozy bar with a nice bar menu. They also offer a "Cheese Kitchen" where you can taste cheeses from around the world and hand pick which cheeses you would like on your platter.

All in all, this is a great location for a weekend getaway, a romantic dinner and stroll on the beach or a great glass of wine and cheese platter!

Heaven, fabulous food and gorgeous sunsets not to mention beautiful spa. Most beautiful CA resort. The service is outstanding , the views are amazing , the food is excellent with an extensive wine list, the spa is gorgeous and the bar serves the best fish and chips around. The resort is quite expensive but well worth it. Makes a very romantic getaway!
