Great place for Appetizers and Dessert. Went there for their prix fix dinner including cheese fondue, salad, main course and dessert. The food was fantastic, but the cheese and dessert fondue was by far the best part. I had the swiss cheese fondue and the smores dessert fondue. Next time I would go for just that!

WORST customer service I've ever experienced. So many bad things!

Tried to make reservation for large birthday party by contacting large party planner - never returned phone calls

Went inside restaurant to speak with someone in person - host "Gigi(?)" extremely rude

Lackluster service

On the night of the party, we were supposed to be seated at large table in bar area...even though the table was available, hosts made all guests wait to be seated for others that were running late (with 11 people, it's inevitable that someone is going to be late!)

We continually had to order our own drinks at the bar because the server was MIA - the few drinks we did order through her were wrong or never made it out at all

The strawberry/almond salads contained no strawberries and no cheese - when we complained, the manager asked if that was how we had ordered it (would we have complained if we had???)

We had to repeatedly ask for empty glasses to be removed from the table

We had decided to order only cheese and chocolate fondues - when the pots were empty, they sat for minimum of 30 minutes before server would return to take next order, then had to wait for the next order to be prepared - if prep time was going to be so long, the server should have started our next order when the first order came out - ended up skipping the chocolate to have cake at home

The only good thing was that we voiced our frustrations and were compensated on the price of our bill - however I feel $20/person was still too much to pay for this evening

I felt I had to apologize to my guests for the planning of the evening - a birthday party is a celebration and we should have left happy and well-fed

Nobody working here appears to be happy with their job and they have not seemed to make much effort to make the experience pleasurable

Will be sure to voice my "constructive criticism" with corporate and will never return to this location again

Must experience at least ONCE. This place can rack up your bill...but guess what? I've been here THREE times! First time was for my bf's birthday and I requested a private place and we pretty much had our own little corner (it har curtains) and the only person you'd see there is your server. It was indeed very romantic and the servers know the food real well. We did the big night out (all times I've been here, I did this) which starts with cheese fondue, salad, then the main course with chicken lobster filet etc and the best part, chocolate fondue dessert with mallows cheesecakes and some fruits, simply delicious! It's good to go here only for very special occassions so it doesn't lose it's novelty!

Irvine est un Melting Pot. Note: You'll need to reserve in advance (2-3 weeks) for weekends, but you can show up late and stand in on cancellation. The ambience was great, the room was low lit. The salad was very good, due to the dressing and the meat was very tender and succulent. The chocolate dessert will release all of your endorphines and appease your mind. Corny as it sounds, this was a great meal.

melting.... Was excited to visit Melting Pot with my girlfriend but was not aware i was about to spend the next 3.5hrs there nibbling on rabbit food (stale bread, joke of a salad, less than fesh fruit), dipping it into cheese and waiting for my waitress. My waitress was the worst part of this experience, she was trying way too hard to SELL the set menu, this annoyed me, i drive a CLK500 and am not cheap, but she made me feel that way when i decided to do individual orders. Make sure you get a menu with individual prices on it. They are sneeky at giving you a menu showing everything on it but with no prices except the set menu price. (UNBELIEVEABLE!) Overall, i felt the experience left me annoyed rather than happy/romantic, valet was exspensive, something like $7.50. Not reccommended unless you have low expectation/low standards!

Great Food! Horrible Service!. We just went there as a party of 6 this past weekend and had the worst service ever. Our waiter was terrible, he payed little attention to us and we had about 30 mins between each course of the meal to sit and wait and wonder if we were ever going to see him again. We got no refills on drinks, little instructions on how to cook the food and a 3 hour dinner that could have been completed in half the time.

The food was great, we all ordered the fondue for two and enjoyed it. It was too bad that experience at the Melting Pot was overshadowed by the terrible service. If we decide to go back, I think it will be to another location.

Sherman Oaks, Melting Pot. I went to this location of this oh-so-famous restaurant because in Pasadena was impossible to get a reservation on a weekend night and honestly I was kinda disappointed...The cheese fondues were good but the bread was crumbly and spongy when it should have more crust and be crunchier for fondue..the dessert was good too but overall you can easily make this food at home with even better results and at a lower price!!My martini was awful and expensive..Overall I was expecting a better experience since I had fondues in Switz and France before with less fuzz and more fun!

NEVER AGAIN. discrepencies with reservations

ordered martinis at 8:40 PM

$9 martini served in a shot glass--clean martini glasses unavailable

untrained bartenter forgets order

hostess has patrons carry wine bottles and glasses purchased from bar to their tables

when seated

cheese course was cheez wiz

service was molasses

sloppy fast-food style salad served 1 hour after cheese course

an additional hour later (no joke) the entre was served

with minimal instructions on behalf of our server and considering it 11:30 PM we

overcooked and ruined the meat and fish platter that we had painstakingly waited for

with faces of obvious exhaustion and frustration our server ended the experience at 12:00 AM with "would you like dessert?"

total time:3 1/2 hours

total cash: $150.00

SAVE $$$$ SAVE TIME ENJOY THE TASTE OF YOUR FOOD--EAT ELSEWHERE-ANYWHERE!!!

The worst fondue ever!. I don't usually write bad reviews, but I felt compelled to tell about my bad experience at this place. I had the luck of being in Switzerland and trying real fondue, the Melting Pot's Swis fondue doesn't even come close. The bread was old and hard, when we complained we got new bread, but they told us that people prefer old bread for fondue (which sounds like bs to me, who would won't to eat old bread?). The bread was also generic supermarket bread and not french baguette, like in a real fondue. The chocolate fondue was made out of chocolate syrup and not real chocolate!!! That was too much!!! I'll never go to this place ever again. Life is too short, don't waste your time and money.

Pasadena, CA Melting Pot. It was my first time there, and I was appalled by the level of service for the price.

The food was good, but overshadowed by glacial service and unmannerly bar tenders. We didn't make reservation so the wait was 20 minutes. We sat at the bar area. No one came to tend to us, so I approached the bar.

The bar tenders clearly knew that I was standing there, and completely ignored me. There was no bustling crowd, or exigent circumstances to justify such discourtesy. They both had their backs to me most of the time, engaged in data entry and other miscellaneous activities that employees engage in when they want to appear busy.

The server when we arrived at the table was amiable, but not more than necessary. The service was extremely slow, and it took us approximately 3.5 hours without any exaggeration.
