COOL VIBE, GREAT FOOD & SERVICE. I'm a huge fan of Beachfire and went on Friday and had great food and drinks at a reasonable price. It was Aloha Friday which means Happy Hour drink and food prices all night if you dress aloha or island style - yes, happy hour all night on a Friday!!! So my girlfriends and I dawned our vintage Hawaiian apparel and had us a good ol' time enjoying our $3.50 Coors Lights and $5 stiff vodka cranberrys all night, even during the free live by Entropy. We shared the best appetizer on the menu - Calamari - which is only $6 for happy hour, along with the $4 Mac & Cheese. BeachFire has some great deals during the week, so I don't get the expensive complaint at all. If you want cheap frozen bar food, go over to Fishermans or Dukes. But you'll be missing out, so put a flower in your hair, grab that old Reyn Spooner and run to BeachFire on Fridays for the cool vibe, amazing food, friendly servers and FREE LIVE MUSIC!
You are our favorite customer! Not only do you dress up island style, but you enjoy all aspects of our California vibe we work to creat in our restaurant! We are thrilled to hear the drinsk were stiff, the music hopping, and the experience described as a "good ol' time"! Keep your eyes out for some new reggae bands hitting the stage this summer, and we will keep the Happy Hour experience flowering! See you Friday for another escape to the islands!

Fun, Funky, Amazing. BeachFire fits San Clemente and offers locals and tourists a great time!! They have amazing drinks, the Zangria is out of this world, and their calamari is the best around! Local music starts around 9:30 and ranges in artists, and the entire restaurant is decorated in local artwork, which is all for sale! The staff is very friendly and attentive. All around the restaurant offers a very funky, SoCal feel and great time!
Thanks for the great review! We have to agree, the Zangria is one of our favorites as well, but that might be because it has three different types of alcohol in it;) Keep your eyes opened for new artists and musicians hitting the walls and stage this summer, and we look forward to having you back in for another Zangria, some calamari, and a night of California style fun!

Great, Friendly, Fun!. Always had a great meal here. From burgers, fish, salads... I love it all! the Ribs are amazing. My whole family loves the restaurant. Fun paintings to look at. Nice people work there. It's a great place to dine!
Average. This place was once good but has now taken a dive. I don't know if it's because they focus on Ladera Ranch. But both locations are average and over-priced.
We are sorry to hear you had a bad experience, but invite you back to see some of the great changes we have made at all three of our locations! We are always bringing in new artists to fill our walls with their amazing art work, booking great local bands to keep you entertained, and have made some great changes to our menu to showcase the talent of our team! We hope to see you soon and re-ingnite the fire!
Nice Ambiance; Poor Food.
My experience at the Beachfire located in Ladera Ranch was not one I would wish to relive. I was excited at first, because the beachy, fun feel reminded me of vacations and Hawaii. However, I was dissapointed to find out that the food did not match my fond memories. I sent my artichoke back 2 times (To a disgruntled waitress...) because it was SO undercooked, but even then, they still didn't manage to get it right. My fish was so overwhelmed with pepper, it was hard to stomach; and I couldn't even taste the flavor of the fish!
The only saving grace was the "s'more" desert, which was simple, sweet, and tastey. ...But even that couldn't get me to come back. It's highly overrated.
Sorry to hear you had that kind of an experience at our Ladera Ranch location, but we strive to learn from the feedback our customers give us, and hope to invite you back to join us at any of our three locations! Our San Clemente location has the same great California beach appeal, featuring great local artists and some amazing food choices!! We have made some great improvements to our menu, including our signature "stoke choke", and added a fantastic happy hour menu for customers to enjoy M-F! We hope to see you soon and have another opportunity to create a fan!
A Hip Joint. I enjoyed myself immensly at this hip restaurant ... the art and atmosphere is very cool ... my dinner was yummy but expensive ... great date night and actually kid friendly too ... enjoy.
We are stoked you had such a great experience, and wanted to let you know, in regards to your kid comment, we now feature a kids art class the second Wednesday of every month! Kids Create is a chance for parents to gain back date night! Kids can enjoy a teacher taught art class and kids meal, while parents can participate in our signature happy hour in the lounge or a quiet dinner in the dining room! A great time for all, and a portion of the proceeds are donated to Umana Art Academy! Thanks again for visiting us, and we hope to see you soon!
Live music, an O.C. beach-party vibe and prime people-watching in the heart of downtown San Clemente..
The Scene
Torch lighting, mosaic-tile flooring, a gemstone-laden indoor fire pit and an expansive patio create a hip, laid-back, backyard-barbecue atmosphere. An eclectic art collection boasting more than 200 pieces keeps the eyes busy. Patrons feel like they've entered a private A-list beach party, which is only enhanced by the swanky, professional servers.
The Food
A fusion of California, Caribbean and Hawaiian cuisines delights the eye and tempts the taste buds. Start with the Bali rolls--avocado egg rolls flash-fried with Thai peanut sauce. Or request the Stoked Choke (not on the menu, but a house specialty)--steamed artichoke, marinated mushrooms and lemon-basil aioli. For dinner, try either the Hawaiian-style sticky ribs (the sauce is a family secret) or the jumbo shrimp tempura crusted in coconut served with apricot marmalade. For dessert, sample the Rasta, sweet plantains and macadamia nuts rolled into a wonton skin, topped with cinnamon and vanilla ice cream.
Great Atmosphere Comes To Town. .Great first or last date dinning establishment. The food is great for both seafood lovers, and steak or chicken. Lots of music and art work.
