If you asked me how the food was here I couldn't tell you. We were seated and waited...and waited...and waited. The girl who seated us came by to apologize and say they were busy. Looking around there were less than 8 parties in the whole restaurant. After 20 minutes we decided to leave. The clincher was when we saw a party come in 10 minutes AFTER us and they were served BEFORE we were. With service like this how do they stay in business? My good buddy at work swore this was the best shabu-shabu EVER. I'm gonna let him know what I think of this place. I'm still standing by "California Shabu Shabu" in Fountain Valley on Brookhurst. They have great service and hire courteous and knowledgeable employees. Look them up.
Pros: Next to a bunch of other restaurants I'd rather eat at

This place follows every instruction out of the "How to Pretend to be Cool" playbook. Pounding music (remixes of mainstream songs -- can't take the chance of alienating people by playing for them something they haven't heard) to drown out conversation. Spartan decor -- trying to pull off the "Chipotle" look but just looking cheap. A focus on alcohol, to take your attention span away from the disappointment on your plate... Eating raw meat at a place with disgusting restrooms... Yeah. All it should take is a cursory glance at the kind of people who eat there to find out why you shouldn't.
Pros: Makes you appreciate other restaurants.
Cons: Everything else.
