Wings: Great. Service: Not so much. I go to Wingnuts once a month with the college group at my church. The food is fantastic, but the servers are just rude. The waitress mixed up our orders and didn't give half the table their drinks. When we asked for our drinks, she stared at us like we had two heads. When it came time for the check, we asked her to split it since some of the people at our tables were being paid for by a person at a different table. She came back and said "I decided not to split the check because it was too confusing for me. So here," and dropped the check on the table.

Aside from service, the wings are fantastic. The sauces are spicy and full of flavor. The chicken is cooked perfectly. Just be careful with servers.

best chicken wings in OC. This place was started in Costa Mesa and has opened in Aliso Viejo where I live. They have the best wings in town! Over 50 flavors There menu also includes salads, ribs, burgers and the newst addition sliders. Great prices, great atmosphere

Some of the worst service in OC. Food is average, it ain't great, but it's nothing terrible or inedible. I find it absolutely, utterly ridiculous that anyone could claim this is a friendly place. We moved within walking distance of this place about 2+ years ago. As a result of the fact that they serve cold beer, we visit at least twice a month. It took an entire year for the staff, that we saw on a regular basis, to even pretend to recognize us. Anyone who claims this is "Cheers" and that they "know everyone's name" has clearly had one too many drinks. The staff isn't rude overall (although several of the girls are) but cold and not very friendly. But make no bones about it, this is NOT the friendliest or nearly so, place, in OC. They tend to be full of college boys who like to get drunk and "OC trash talk." We even got to see a nice fight once. It's entertaining. You can count the number of times you hear "dude," "bro" and "Dawg," to pass the time. They also don't seem to cut anyone off in there. I've seen people falling down drunk before, literally. Bartenders still serve them. It's a college sports bar atmosphere, so don't think about bringing the kids. Their restaurant is airplane themed, which would be cool if I were 9. Their wings are pretty mild, but not badly flavored. Some people will complain about how they are cooked. I find the wings to be decent. They are stingy on sides. Ranch is considered a full priced 'side' or blue cheese. A lot of their staff are preoccupied with goofing off or flirting, to actually work. Again, I'll keep coming here, as long as they serve alcohol, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who isn't looking to get drunk. You could probably put in a Chili's and I'd be just as happy. I still cannot believe anyone would call this place 'friendly.' I consider myself outgoing and very patient and polite to servers, I have very low demands and reasonable expectations, this place fails to meet most of them.

Best Bartenders in ALL of OC. For those of you who have not been to Wingnuts, you are truely missing out on an incredibly fun time. Appropriately named the "CHEERS" of this community, you will be hard-pressed to find a bartender that didn't know the name of nearly every seat in the bar area. Applebees can take a back seat to the slogan "When you're here, you're family." At Wingnuts, that slogan is more true than the "Best Wings in OC" title they earned in 2006 and 2007. There is a little known fact that Wingnuts also earned "Friendliest Buiness." I love the energy and excitement that come from the bartenders there... especially the small firey one. Go there, fill up on beer and wings, and feel at home.

Craving Wingnuts.... ... is definitely a side effect of eating there. We live in San Diego but every single to trip to Orange or LA counties warrants a visit to Wingnuts; we love it there! We have been several times and have never had a problem with parking or service. The beer list is commendable, and the menu is diverse. My favorite item is the buffalo chicken wrap. No joke, I crave that thing at least a few times a month and there are none in San Diego that compare!

Take your chance on service.. I've gone twice; once with family, once alone.

The time I went with my family, we were generally very pleased. It wasn't cheap but the food was good.

The time that I went alone was a nightmare. What I ordered was not what I got. It must have been someone else's order. I questioned my server three times about different aspects of my order. Unfortunately, she was more of a talker than a listener. I don't believe in demanding corrections because I don't want to take a chance on what I might be served afterward. I just never go back. I won't. How hard is an order of wings to fill?

The best secret in Orange County. With the great wings, friendly service, and $3 23 oz domestic draft happy hour, Not to mention the 6 t.v.s that are over the bar, this is one of the best places I've found for hanging out with friends, or just going down to watch a baseball game.

Wing Luva. I am able to admit my problem, I am a wingaholic. I love having chicken wings, pizza, and beer. I hate getting my wings from pizza places though. They charge you an arm and a leg for 10 wings. Like they are the hardest/most expensive thing to make. I went around 7 on a Saturday night. The place was full, but we were sat right away. Our server checked on us throughout the evening, and I never felt like I was being ignored. They have a great selection of beers on tap, which is hard to find in any place. They had about 20 different flavors of wings to pick from. Overall I would say this is a place to bring your family, friends, coworkers, or even business clients. They have done a wonderful job making you feel great eating nothing but wings.

Wingnuts is the BEST. The person up there is insane. Wingnuts seriously has the best hot wings. I was recommended there by a coworker and let me just say, those hot wings are spicy! Try the double dog dare and you will not regret it. If your a chicken, then try the whiskey BBQ wings and DON'T want an hr to eat them. By the time you eat 2-3 wings of the Double Dog Dare you'll be too full from all the water you drank to eat anymore. This is coming from someone who eats chili's whole, and no not jalapenos because those are WEAK.

WINGNUTS ARE NOT THE BEST HOT WINGS IN OC. I looked for ratings of the best hot wungs in Orange County and was pointed to Wingnuts. We went to the Costa Mesa (Harbor Blvd) and ordered 100 wings of four flavors at noon on a Saturday (Aug 27th). We took them immediately to party and began to eagerly eat them within an hour of picking them up.

THEY WERE VERY DISAPPOINTING -- BLAND AND DRY. Everyone at the party commented that these wings were edible, but that's about it. We tried honey bbq, chipotle, charred whiskey bbq, and buffalo medium.

Wingnuts wings are "PRICEY". I will not be back and am still in search of really good hot wings in OC.
