Editorial Review. Watch skilled chefs cook Japanese-style steak, chicken, shrimp and more at a tableside grill. Full sushi bar is also available.
I hit Koki again. I want to make it clear that I had mention on my last comments. Other places rush me to pay my food bill NOT Koki. Every time, this Japanese consultant comes into town, he enjoys sushi in Little Tokyo for lunch or dinner. This time, I take him to Koki before he goes back to Japan. He loves the sushi. He told me the sushi is fresh and even better than he had in Little TOKYO .....THANKS ENDO .... you make it fresh ... We'll be back
Endo.....the BEST shushi Chef in town!!!!!. As sushi lovers and trying every sushi resturant here in Orange County as well as LA County, I finally found a place that my husband and I could have quality sushi as well as a fun and entertaining experience. Endo, our chef, was amazing!!!!! He created his works of art by melding the appetizing and the eye appealing gourmet that satified both our tummies and eyes throughout the night. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else!!!!!!!
Best Sushi in the OC.
I don't know what militarychow is talking about. First of all, I'm a very picky eater. I've tried various sushi establishments throughout the OC, only to leave disappointed. When I was introduced to Koki's about 3 months ago, I fell in love with the place. I have been going there at least once (sometimes twice) a week...
Koki's is Chinese owned... there's nothing wrong with that. Though Chinese owned, the sushi chef is Japanese and has been doing this since his childhood. They receive a fresh shipment of fish every other day... so to say that the sashimi isn't fresh is ridiculous.
One thing that militarychow is right on is the wait. There is only one sushi chef. If you've got the time to spare, I suggest trying this place out. If you're short on time, try your luck elsewhere.
Don't Eat The Sushi!. My Girlfriend And I Wanted To Get Some Sushi One Night. So We Searched For A Place Close By In Irvine. This Place Had A %10 Discount So We Decided To Give It A Try. Big Mistake! This Is A Chinese Owned & Operated Japanese Restaurant. There Was Only One Sushi Chef, So It Took Awhile Till We Got All The Sushi We Ordered. The Sashimi Was Not Fresh At All. I'm Not Sure About The Hibachi Part of The Restaurant. But Do Yourself A Favor And Don't Go To Koki's For The Sushi.
Amazing sushi!. I've been to a dozen or so great sushi places in Orange County and LA County, and Koki is by far the best. I've been there twice this week, and plan to make that a habit :-) The sushi chef, Endo (spelling?), is very friendly and welcoming, and has a habit of shelling out extra pieces of sashimi "just to keep you coming back," as he says. The tuna nigiri is to die for.
