Just the best dinner and evening during my last trip to SoCal.. The food was great and all was in order. The wait staff was intelligent and the owners walked around with a sense of care and pride.

You get a sense of the depot having the train traveling through every so ofter. It is really an interesting atmophere but the food and the dining experience outweighed all.

Great food! Good atmosphere! Reasonable Prices!. The Capistrano Depot is located steps from the railroad tracks in downtown San Juan Capistrano. The buildings architecture is unique. The main dining room features a cozy fireplace and a warm decor. There are also smaller dining rooms with art from local artists. An outdoor patio is available for eating beneath the stars - a popular pasttime in Southern California.

Although the main cuisine is Italian, the menu features a wide variety of items, including pasta, seafood, and steaks. They are open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with meals to fit every budget. My wife's favorite is the Crab & Shrimp Melt for lunch. I prefer the Prime Rib at dinner time. The Capistrano Depot has become one of favorite places any time of the day.
