Nice place to bring your date!. I've been Taps many times already and I love the place. The service is great, the place has nice decorations, and best of all the food is good! In the past I would go there about 1~2 times a month. Now I don't go there as often cuz it's somewhat pricey... anyways 4+ stars from me!!!

Fun Place for lunch. Very good service waiter was very friendly. We were out shopping and decided to try something new. Hubby wanted to check in on baseball scores so it was a welcome stop from the heat. Waiter came to table quickly and explained menu choices. He followed up and kept checking on us and made suggestions. Food was very

good.

Best Creme Brulee. The only dessert I like to eat is creme brulee, this place makes it the best in my opinion. Dropped in just for dessert a while ago just before a movie. I have not had their dinner though, but if in Brea again, would stop in for that creme brulee again, definitely.

Pricey, but decent. This is my 3rd time going to Taps and for the most part, has always been an enjoyable experience. The ambiance is nice. It's not too loud where you have to scream or too quiet where you feel as if you have to whisper every word. Our server (Travis) was very pleasant and professional. He greeted us right away and made sure our drinks were always full and visited our table often. We ordered the appetizer sampler ($27) which included calamari, crab & artichoke dip and new orleans style bbq shrimp. The bbq shrimp was rich in flavor, the dip was very creamy with tons of crab meat and the calamari had a nice batter, crispy and not too chewy. For our entree, we ordered the fish & chips and a bowl of gumbo. For not being a cajun style restaurant, the gumbo is pretty good. Not authentic, but close enough to remind me of home having lived in New Orleans for 19 years. Today, however, it was a little burnt (probably from sitting on the stove a little too long), but I would still recommend. Taps also boasts their impressive oyster bar, offering oysters from different regions (but with a hefty price tag).

The only negative is the price. In my opinion, it's a little pricey for the type of restaurant and food served. But overall a nice place to eat. Enjoy

Go, it's a great meal. The meal is definitely the highlight. The service reminds me of Claim Jumper with no real depth plus they put girls in ties for uniform. It's obviously well established and I can't really think of anything wrong with the place. I recommend it for just about every occasion. It has a great bar and patio but be careful they promote cigar smoking...blech! All in all a great institution for OC.

Great place. haven't been in a while but these guys don't even know how to do a bad job. it's a professional outfit from top to bottom. never an issue with quality or the service. best of luck to you in corona.

Excellent on a date or out with friends. Sit outside!. Was on the patio for New Year's Eve. The pre fixe menu was wonderful. The best Oyster's Rockafeller I have had in a very long time. My salad was fantastic. My date's portions were a bit small, but quite delicious. I love the atmosphere of the outdoor patio with the roaring fireplace. I have been there another time for just the beers and fire with friends. Definitely worth getting a table outside and enjoy the brew...it is truly yummy!

Editorial Review. American-style menu focuses on everything from fish to steaks and chops, plus onsite brewmaster serves 30 ales and lagers.
