Fine dining ,Romantic Quiet Italian Restaurant in Irvine
by LeventO at Citysearch
I wanted to take my date to a fine dining romantic restaurant for a special night. I choose Tuscany Grill in Irvine because of their high rating. They absolutely deserve 5 stars. The decor is warm and romantic with fresh rose on the tables. The service was attentive classy. The food was hot and excellent, each course was beautifuly presented. Beside delicious Italian cuisine they offer Mediterranean dishes too. We started with a beef filet Carpaccio and organic humus that was served with warm pita bread. My girlfriend had the Combo beef and chicken Kebab, it came with a Mediterranean salad, rice and yogurt sauce, I had their daily special Grilled Salmon with an excellent Champagne cream sauce. They have a nice selection of wines. We finished our dinner with their delicious tiramisu and complimentary Turkish tea. From the begining to the end we immensely enjoyed our dinner. We will go back again, I am sure, many more times. website offers video dirrection, free secure parking, don't forget the validation or you can valley it at Mc Cormick or ElTorrito, they do one seating only, you have the table all night if you want to ,they do not give you the check unless you ask, they just want to keep you there as long as they can, so tell them in advence if you are in a hurry, enjoy,we did.
A truly unique fine dining experience.

When exquisite and gourmet Italian food is served with a warm and unique hospitality in an elegant and classy setting that has a romantic and quiet ambiance, you have the best dining experience. And that's what we have each time at this restaurant. It has become my all time favorite restaurant in Orange County.
Tuscany Mediterranee Grill is a place you go to spend your evening, enjoying one after another freshly made dishes and savoring wonderful Italian wine while sitting side by side with your date in a soothing atmosphere. Don't go there if you need to rush through your meal or just get one dish. That's a real dining experience you are having there. The consistency of the outstanding service didn't change at all when I went there for a birthday party with a group of ten. Everybody had fun and enjoyed the night.
I don't want to go into the details but I still want to mention some of my favorites:
APPETIZERS: FRIED CALAMARI crispy, excellent. COLD SEAFOOD SALAD, very fresh and big enough to share for two. RED LENTIL SOUP.
ENTREES: LAMB CHOPS, flavorful, the best ever. SHRIMP RAVIOLI, delicious sauce. Their FILLET MIGNON special, is really special. CHAMPAGNE RISOTTO, flawless and creamy texture.
DESSERTS: TIRAMISU super light, one of a kind. AFFOGATO (the famous Italian dessert/drink, vanilla gelato in hot espresso, which you start by eating and end up drinking) I love their version, a perfect balance between bitter and sweet, and hot and cold, an excellent way to finish the meal.
WINE: They have a second wine menu (high end) that is not brought to every table, we were offered to see that on our second visit, we ordered from that list. Ask for it if you are a wine lover.
I have been there for a business lunch too, the crowd is different than dinner one; men and women in suits coming from the financial business center where the restaurant is situated in. Their lunch service is faster to accommodate the limited time.
The restaurant is hidden behind a parking structure, but we were given good direction when we first called in for reservation so we didn't have problem finding it. They do validate and the parking was free on the weekend.
The owner has created a unique place making sure that every single aspect of providing an exceptional dining experience is executed with precision from the beginning to the end.
- Pros: Affordable fine dining, excellent food, romantic, elegant.
- Cons: Not visible from the street
Tuscany Mediterranee Grill is the Best Italian Restaurant
by JJT at Citysearch
Looking for a quaint, romantic restaurant in Orange County? Look no further than Tuscany Mediterranee Grill. This is a very elegant, beautiful, white table cloth restaurant with real indoor plants, and an ambience so fitting for a date.We had reservation for 7.30pm and were seated as soon as we arrived. The place was almost full, with lots of couples on the booths and 2 big groups. We started with the Beef Carpaccio topped with parmesan cheese and a creamy lentil soup, never had such a delicious lentil soup before. They have a nice selection of wine but we had their house red.We were served a palate cleanser before our entrees just like in fine dining places. For the main course, we had Shrimp Livorno, fantastic, and the Combo Lamb chops and Beef Shish Kabob, soft and tasty. We had their tiramisu for dessert, so light it melted in our mouth and the cheese cake with raspberry sauce. They offered us flavorful Turkish tea in cute little tea glasses and Italian chocolate. The service was friendly, attentive and courteous, they made us feel like we were the only people at the restaurant. Their prices are very reasonable for some of the best food we have tasted in Irvine. That was a fantastic experience. We went there on a Saturday, the parking was free. This is an undiscovered gem, hidden in the beautifull Irvine Concourse Business District, an unlikely place for such a romantic restaurant. We are thinking to go back for Valentine's Day.
- Pros: Food,Ambiance,Service
- Cons: not open Sundays

Best Italian food and service - cozy atmosphere!

This is one of my very favorite restaurants with food and staff rated as excellent! The pasta, risotto are terrific! Lamb Chops and New York steak are probably my favorite meat entrees but their fish specials are always wonderful. Several dishes would qualify for Weight Watchers such as the grilled Ahi and Salmon. Great atmosphere. Warm and welcoming! I go there several times a week for lunch and dinner and highly recommend all dishes! The homemade soup always is just right! Good value pricing as well!! Little touches like Turkish tea make it so special. Matthew Takim, the owner is usually ready to make you feel at home and is most accommodating. Be sure to try it soon. Great Irvine/Newport Beach location at MacArthur & Main with parking validated (between El Torito Grill and McCormick and Schmecks on the 2010 & 1920 Main St. plaza). They offer a good wine selection as well.
