I never thought I'd enjoy being in a wedding salon... BUT...

I went to this store with a freind who lives in LA. To be honest, I was not looking forward to it. My experiences in the past have always included dirty stores, dirty clothes, people crammed into rooms and salewomen who reek of cigarettes.

This shop is ANYTHING BUT! All of the girls who worked there were so nice and fun. The dresses my friend tried on were beautiful and clean, and they really listened to the style she was interested in and made good suggestions. They also kept her within her budget--my friend was very pleased about that. At the end, they served us champagne and we didn't want to leave! I can't recommend this highly enough. I feel like people leave negative reviews for the most part on these types of websites--how often are you so pleased that you have to run to your computer and write a review? Well, this experience was so good, I just had to make sure everyone knew!

My experience was great from trying on the dress to wearing it.

I went to The White Dress for a wedding gown and had a great experience. I went with my Mom and I tried on a bunch of dresses. I found a Platinum for Pricilla of Boston that I loved, with a sweetheart neckline, but I wanted the bottom to look different, so Marlis suggested putting on a different bottom, all silk. We decided on an A line skirt. I knew it would be perfect. Once we decided on the dress, we celebrated with Champagne!! It was so much fun. I also bought my bridesmaids dresses from The White Dress. My friend and I again tried on several dresses and found the long black beautiful dresses that complimented my dress perfectly. Also, Marlis helped me find the pefect Tiara, earrings and bracelet that complimented the dress by Michelle Miller who is a jewelry designer she sells in the store. They even put my grandmothers pearls in the necklace! We decided on a darker ivory color for my dress, to match my tan Italian olive skin, and she even had shoes to match the dress. The dress came in a few months before the wedding, but I waited to have it altered until a few weeks before, which I did with Marlis' on site tailor and it fit like a glove. Every time I called the store, the girls helped explain the process with my dress and with my bridesmaids dresses and sizes, which can be confusing at times when you have 8 bridesmaids and you are planning your wedding! Ultimately, I loved my pictures and wedding day and Marlis helped make it perfect.

nice experience

I live in Los Angeles and drove out to costa mesa to check out the bridal selection. I stopped by The White Dress and told the owner that I didn't have an appointment but that I live in LA and if she could fit me in it would be helpful. There was a trunk show that day so it was extremely busy, but somehow she found the time for me. She let me try on several dresses (more than 5) and spent time with me. I could tell she felt rushed but I felt helped and attended to. They have a great selection of Couture dresses many that I haven't seen in other boutiques. I was really impressed with the white dress, its friendly, accommodating and has just the right amount of dresses and designers, not too many and not too little. Definitely recommend!
