The Scene – Savannah belongs to an Orange County family of popular high-concept restaurants that offer polished decor, friendly service and satisfying food--in that order. At Savannah, curved booths, soft surfaces and a sweeping, oceanview patio set the scene for romantic tête-a-têtes or giddy celebrations. – – The Food – Though the traditional steakhouse menu claims some Southern influences, other than the Creole sauce and blackened Voodoo steak, the only thing Southern at Savannah is the hospitality. The 16 ounce, bone-in, dry-aged, USDA-prime New York…

food poisoning at this restaurant

My wife got food poisoning from eating their lobster benigs, almost died, and the managers reply "I'm so sorry to hear that, next time you come in let me buy you an appetizer, PLEEEZE. This restaurant has went down him since they changed management, it is to bad as they have a lot of nice people working there, but I will never go back there as their quality left when they change hands, can't wait until it changes hands again, and it will the way they are running it.

My wife got deathly ill from eating there lobster benigs, I thought she would die, and when I told the manager about it, she said, "the next time you come in there will be an appetizer on me. To me that is real condescending and insulting. We used to enjoy this restaurant, a lot of nice waiters and the food used to be good. we have heard a lot of bad reports on it lately, we won't go back. Incidentally I emailed the general manager about our experience and he didn't even answer.
Great quiet room, great good food
by AuldLassie at Citysearch
We had 9 guests at our table and we were able to carry on a conversation without raising our voices! The $10 specials were delicious, ample and served by a very attentive waitress & staff. Savannah is at the top of our dine out list.
- Pros: Quietest place on the planet
- Cons: none

Best $10 you will ever spend!
They had a $10 special for their anniversary, and had such a great outcome that they decided to keep it!
Halibut, filet mignon, or half a pound of crab for only $10's....
I had the filet mignon and my boyfriend had the halibut!! both fantastic!!! We are making this a weekly date!
- Pros: everything
- Cons: make a reservation the day before because its hard to get a table.
Nice ambience, marginal service, varying food preparation quality
by OCresident at Citysearch
Nice atmosphere. Service is marginal -- we heard excuses like "sorry the bar is backed up" to explain why things took so long. Dinner seemed a long time in coming after we ordered, then we were approached three times with meals that weren't ours. Food quality was generally good, but one of the steaks came underdone -- unfortunately it took so long that we didn't want to send it back. The manager comp'd the dinner, but still, we were after a good dinner, not a free one. At the prices charged, we expected better.
- Pros: Ambience, decor
- Cons: Service, food quality
