A breath of fresh..., um, food.. You may or may not like the ambiance -- it's like you're eating inside of your grandmother's house -- but you're almost certain to love the food. Unlike most quasi-vegetarian restaurants which tend to wimp out when it comes to seasoning, Rutabegorz pulls no punches. I LOVE the freshness and quality of the ingredients, and there are plenty of things to choose from that you won't feel guilty about having eaten later. (The "salads" section of the menu, for example, fills two pages.) Add to that the fact that many of the offerings are novel and just plain interesting. Have a food snob friend in L.A. who thinks that Orange County has nothing special to offer? Take them here.

Delicious and Cheap food!.
We got the December Holiday Dip (they always have $1 monthly specials) which was cream cheese with walnut, apple, and cranberry bits. It was SO DELICIOUS! They serve it to you with wheat crackers.
We then ordered the apple spinach which has caramelized walnuts, apple slices, bleu cheese, cucumbers, etc. That was super delicious too and huge! We also ordered the soup of the day, which was lentil soup, and a turkey and avocado wrap. The lentil soup was filling and good and the turkey and avocado wrap was really good with the sauce. We were a group of 3 people and had shared everything. We were full by eating just the holiday dip, salad, and lentil soup. By the end, we were stuffed and our bill only came out to $24!! Delicious AND cheap! what more can you ask for? We are definitely going again!

Wow so many options!. The salads are really big, fresh, and delicioso! I tried it on a whim and my girl and I loved it...I would definately go again and again.

Good for vegetarians. Cute location. Cockie Leeky soup is the soup I would recommend Their seasonal pumpkin cookie is huge and yummy as well. I was also pleased with their other cookie selections. Overall their food is okay but I'm glad there are places like these in OC.

mr mike hensel. Great salads, specialty sandwichs, homemade soups, vegitarian items and service that is always excellent.
