One Big Problem for Me..
Education wise this school offers a good format for working adults. I enjoyed my classes and feel the education was just as good as Cal. State Fullerton (my other school option).
I had one huge problem with the school and this is why I don't recommend this school. I withdrew from my last class under a 2/3 attendance policy that would leave me only being responsible for paying 2/3 of the total cost of the class. I did this under the counsel of my instructor who said it was an option for me.
When I got the bill the UOP wanted the entire amount of money. Since then I contacted UOP about the situation and they wouldn't listen to the situation at all. They keep insisting that the instructor was in error and that I am responsible to pay the entire amount.
I will gladly pay 2/3 but not the full amount because of what happend. Yes it has decreased my credit score but I will not bow down to the UOP corporation. I'm a military student as well. My education was paid for with military education funding.
So now my transcripts are locked. My education is on hold. So I'm hard headed but IMO UOP is more hard headed for not be willing to look into the situation. This problem occured over 5 years ago. Still effects me today. As soon as UOP will give me a fair deal I'll continue on with my education.
