Editorial Review for Buca di Beppo – by Saira Masood
In Short
Homesick for your mother's Italian cooking? Grab your appetite and head to this restaurant, where the friendly wait staff will serve up portions of Colosseum-esque proportions, like spaghetti and meatballs loaded with savory tomato sauce and lots of pungent garlic. Dishes center on Southern Italian immigrant fare, and are meant to be shared family-style with a large goblet of wine-to enhance the taste, of course. The ornate décor with walls covered in vintage photos evokes a warm homey feel that welcomes customers to dine among the other families and loyal customers. Buon Appetito!

Buca di Beppo restaurant is one of the most accommodating restaurants in the Claremont, Ca area. Buca di Beppo restaurant brings friends and families together for many different occasions, it is fun and up lifting. The huge portions, like the garlic bread, a cake pan size with slices of garlic sprinkled on top, light and fluffy, yummy! The food is an experience everyone should try, taste for yourself. The atmosphere will definitely strike up conversation, it is cozy and makes you feel like you are at home. Life is what you make of it, and the taste of life is within. Relax and enjoy, have a glass of wine!
Pros: The atmosphere, the portions of food, brings a fun and healthy way of life, different than the ordinary. You have the choice!
Cons: not really condusive for a first date! or a quiet night out.

Please, Please for the love of culinary existence, do not go to this restaurant...It's nothing but a trendy, fake, and disusting of a typical chain restaurant. Thinking that italian food consisist only of oil (I don't think they use olive oil) and garlic powder, this place of culinary nightmare shoves to our face, or to our not so accepting appetite, that...oil and garlic powder. No spices, no simplicity, and no originality, Buca tries to stand up as an Italian restaurant, but with an ugly trendy and "place to go" atmosphere. Buca also pretends to be authentic, with waiters and crazy follwers claiming it's a place where the food is the same as if you are dining in Palermo, Naples, or Venice. In reality it is a place where you wait an hour for a plate of noodles and ketchup, a place where the decor is a result of the owner seeing too much Godfather movies, and finally a place where u get served by a number of idumb young people who don't speak a word of Italian
Pros: none..ok ok the music is alright..they actualy play Italian music
Cons: i need ten pages to write the cons
