Cha for Tea is my fave alternative to chain coffee/tea shops. My favorite thing to order at Cha for Tea is their jade green tea. I haven't gotten snacks here yet but my friends say that they're pretty good. It is directly across the street from UC Irvine so it is always full of students. There is a variety of board games available for the bored.

mango green tea...yuuumm. Cool place to eat, hang out, or study. I go to the one near CSULB, but I'm sure the one in Irvine is similar. I'm sweet and sodium sensitive, so when I order anything, I tell them no sweetner or salt; it usually comes out perfect otherwise they go overboard. Mango and peach flavored green tea on the rocks are my favorites. Service is great cause everyone is pretty friendly and down to earth. The atmosphere is good for studying cause it's well lit and modernly furnished with bright colors.
