waste of time. pros: punctual; clean/sanitary office

cons: refused standard cleaning unless i paid for deep cleaning out of my own pocket

I blocked off an entire morning for 20 x-rays (radiation), 5 minute conversation with a doctor, and to be told they didn't have time to do a cleaning.

Like another reviewer here, I have an HMO. They apparently get paid peanuts for "covered" services so sell every other treatment option to pad their reimbursement. dentists - the new used car salesman.

Pressure you into unneeded services (AVOID AT ALL COSTS). Avoid them at all costs. They are only interested in making you spend as much as possible. They refused to give me a dental cleaning until I had agreed to a optional treatment that even with insurance would have costed me $500. I explained that I didn't have the money at the moment and would just like to have the basic cleaning that my insurance would cover. They refused and said that I could not get any treatment from them until I had the deep cleaning treatment and paid them the $500. I have an HMO so now I'm denied dental treatment until I can switch to a new provider when my insurance renews.
