Great Pregnancy Massage. I'm due in three months and really needed some relief. I had an excellent massage and loved how relaxed I finally felt. I had lots of pillows for support, kind but firm hands focusing on my problem spots and a husband who knows just what I need! I highly recommend Athena and the staff. This is one of the better places if you care about all the details. Free parking is below the spa in a parking garage and the beach is down the steps! Five stars for sure.

Best Day Spa in Laguna Beach. I am a spa junkie....love to get pampered from head to toe. I had a great spa experience at this beautiful day spa. My anti-aging facial had me looking and feeling years younger. The esthtician was very bright and helpful. The massage I had was truly one of the best I've ever had anywhere...great pressure, atmosphere, music, lighting, warmth and tender touch left me very rejuvinated! I would highly recommend spending some time relaxing with Athena...I'm going to their new spa in South Laguna next!

Cleared Me Up!. A great facialist is hard to find especially if you have sensitive skin. I received a wonderful facial at Athena Day Spa. I was glowing for weeks.

Massage ME Again and Again. I've been a client at Athena Day Spa for years. They just recently remodeled the 611 S. Coast Hwy location and matched the decor to the excellent service they provide. Simple, elegant and affordable. The complimentary parking is also a huge plus since Laguna gets crowded during the afternoons. I suggest trying out this peaceful family owned business and see the difference between coporate spas and the real deal. I really like Summer's massage. She is an awesome therapist and knows her stuff. Each massage is unique and focused on just what I need...No cookie cutter stuff here. All the massage therapists I've worked with have been quality therapists. Jill, the head esthetician is also excellent at Brazilian waxing and peels. I love Athena and will remain loyal always!!!

Pregnancy massage - NOT reccomended. I'm 5+months pregnant, pulled the muscles in my mid to lower back, and was really looking for a helpful massage. Initially, the therapist gave me two decorative pillows (with scratchy embroidery) on which to lay stomach-side down. I asked how best to position them and there was no suggestion. When turned to my side, I was not supported, braced, or positioned in any way to provide reistance against the massage - therefore she couldn't really apply much pressure or work to any area of my back. She primarily resorted to the lateral areas of my shoulder/neck area. Overall it was akward, not relaxing, and so completely disappointing.

(Other areas were OK - she had a nice touch - though many times it seemed difficult to find the insertion/attachment points.)

Afterwards, I was informed the massage cost an additional $20 since it was for "pregnancy"...I'm assuming for their extra expertise? This was simply a bummer and absolutely not worth the time or money.

Laguna's most individualized spa. I enjoyed a luxurious massage and facial at Athena, and not only was it the best massage I had ever had, but the therapist was so dead on, and detailed about my particular needs and wants. She provided the massage i feel like i've been waiting for all my life. The facial was equaling relaxing and rejuvinating. Overall it was simply the best service, friendliness, and professionalism I have ever experienced in a day spa. There location is unbelievable with an outside terrace looking directly over Laguna's fabulous beaches. I swear by this spa, it has the modern care people are looking for in a spa. I love it!!

Lively atmosphere. Athena Day Spa is a lively, comfortable environment. I enjoyed the quality of care and concern from each person there. I felt very welcome and special. The tranquil setting allowed me to fully relax and pamper myself. The experience was priceless and left enough money in my bank account so I can return again.

My friends Agree. I took some co-workers and friends in to Athena so they could see what I was talking about. They feel the same way...Amazing massage therapists, great skin care staff, quality nail care and the nicest receptionists I've met. We were treated like royalty.

Wonderul Massage and Skin Care. The massage was the best I've ever had and the knowledge I gained from the Esthetician was very helpful. I chose the 90 minute hot stone massage and the Signature Facial. I highly reccomend spending at least 3 hours at the spa.
