Beautiful yet tasty chocolate mousse cake that's not too sweet for any taste buds!
Decent first experience.. I enjoy going to Champagne French Bakery Cafe in Costa Mesa, so I knew the food at this location would be good. As expected, the food was pleasant, but I can't say the same for the service. All the workers had no expression on their faces. Nice pleasant smiles by the workers can do much good for this business. I hope the management takes notice of this.
Decent food, poor service. I have gone several times to breakfast. The food is decent, but the service is awful. They need someone who cares to look at their service weakness and implement better customer service systems. Sadly after 5 tries, I will not go back
Sick thinking of it.. Unbelievably Disgusting! In this day of H1N1 flu and staph infections, I could not believe my eyes when I saw an Irvine Champagne French Bakery food service worker picking his infected nose & touching everything around him, spreading his infection - counters, trays, plate, etc. He never washed his hands between sessions of nose picking, nose blowing, face itching, continuing to distribute his germs & viruses everywhere. Even chit chatting between nose blowings with his co-worker shift manager in conversation- seemed she could care less too. I asked him what kind of sloppy food handling is this? The poor untrained kid seemed oblivious. So don't expect safe food handling at Champagne French Bakery. I witnessed with my own eyes Champagne's staff's total disregard for the health of others. For the sake of others health, I must say CUSTOMER BEWARE! I worry, if this is what the staff is OK with in front of customers, what bad food handling habits do they enjoy freely behind closed doors? Special sauces?
A bistro and cafe that serves hot coffee, traditional French cuisine, and desserts baked daily..
The Scene
This French bistro is a feast for the eyes as well as taste. Each delicacy rests in a display case by the counter for guests to handpick. Most popular among their desserts is the cappucino mousse cake, a rich three-layer chocolate cake topped with milk chocolate dots and a light espresso sauce. They also serve fresh fruit tarts, classic French éclairs, and a light lunch menu for guests who don't want to feel quite so guilty digging into those sweet treats.
Great dinner menu and even better desserts. This place has light but delicious food and a bakery filled with desserts that are all so good. I really enjoyed coming here and sharing an entree and then having their cappucino mousse cake - not to share of course! I haven't tried their breakfast but it looks great
