Editorial Review for Corner Office – by Citysearch Editors
In Short
This bar is the white-collar sports fan's dream come true. In addition to several 100-inch big-screen TVs tuned into timely sports action, the bar is equipped with DSL Internet access so patrons can keep on top of business email. The clientele draws largely from Costa Mesa's nearby businesses, making this an especially hot spot at the lunch hour. Food is served, featuring everything from wings to prime cuts of steak.

Corner office is good for a drink or two. The reviewers that say that this is a good sports bar must have some low standards or they probably are the two or three waitresses that work at this sorry excuse for a sports bar. Yes, they have screens but as far as the sound is concerned, you might as well be deaf. Oh, and the service....there were two waitresses....yes, just two!!!!! serving quite a few customers. They treat you like you are being a burden. We had to ask multiple times just to get water. Ultimately, we ended up going to the bar just to get water. And at the end, we had to ask for the check (again, at the bar because attending to the booths is just too much walking) and our waitress from hell put the check on our table as she was walking by without so much as even acknowledging our existence. The food is nothing to write home about....nachos tasted burned and were third-rate quality. So, if you want a beer or two at the bar, it's probably ok....but as far as the feel of a welcoming sports bar, it's highly overrated and NOT RECOMMENDED! Save yourself the headache of going here and feeling like you actually are in a work office. The one thing I felt really good about at this place was the exit door.
Pros: Booths have screens
Cons: Sound is horrible. The food and service are even worse.

I'll be to the point since it seems the Corner Office is being completely overrated here on CitySearch. If you just need a place to watch a game then Corner Office would probably be your haven of absolute last resort. To their credit they do have multiple 10ft projection screens broadcasting different games, LCD monitors at individual booths, and a variety of screens at the bar. However, don't expect to have audio with any of that video. Or for that matter don't expect good quality food or acceptable service from the staff. Food was overpriced by about 20% and of poor quality. Overpriced $7 movie theater nachos w/ cheese are a better value than the plate of bland, wholesale quality nachos they served at Corner Office. Of all the plates our group ordered, nothing merited the price and everything underperformed the most modest taste expectations. The young bartender and two waitresses were completely overwhelmed by the number of customers, wholely inexperienced, and audibly/ visibly disgruntled about their jobs. They complained out loud to each other, made disgruntled faces at customers, and give the impression customers were asking too much of them. It's not an exaggeration to say that if you want the waitress's attention you need to get out of your booth and stop her while she's walking around. So, If you want to get together with people and watch the game, drive three miles away to H00ter's Restaurant and feel better about how you're spending your money.
Pros: Multiple large projection screens, LCD screens at booths
Cons: Waitresses with attitude, overpriced tasteless food, no sound to accompany video.
