33.639761 -117.920957Hawleywoods Barber shop in Costa Mesa. I've been going to Hawleywoods Barber shop in Costa Mesa for 8mnth now and I have to say, IT'S AWSOME!! I've was searching for a good barber for some time & that was a major drag, until a co-worder at the refinery referred me to Ceasar. He took his time to show me a book of different styles and recommended what he thought would look cool. I agreed and PRESTO! I got complemented the minute I got off the chair. I felt great. I highly recommend Ceasar to anyone and everyone. Their new location even has a "speak eazy" with a juke box, pool table, dart board, pabst on tap, vintage flash and more barber chairs. Its not a wonder why they continue to take 1st place in OC's Hot List.
OOOPS. SHUCKS!!!!! YOU GOT OFF EASY PAL. I had an experience myself. Justin and ceazar are 2 of the best cutters ive ever seen. The bad part is obvious!!! seems to me that a man took the rite idea and took it to the rite place. But pride will make you blind sometimes. It seeps into the glue that holds success together. Acomplishment crumbles all around you till the bridge becomes a pile of smoldering ashes.Seek those who prosper ,not those who drownd in apool of arrogence. Heed my prodiction old friend or suffer the shame of FAILURE!!!!!! forever: ....brother KANE...999
Long Beach Branch - Once amazing, not shoddy!. I have been going here a while. And it was a decent place for a cheap 15 dollar rockabilly haircut. The guys were friendly, and Cesar and Justin did great jobs. However, recently I've had a series of terrible experiences. First I booked a cut with the owner - to see if he'd do an even better job since he started the place - and the guy didn't show up till 3 hours after my booked appt. He didn't even apologize for the wait or the fact I had to have Cesar actually do the cut. He simply went on and on talking to the barbers about an ex-girlfriend who was banging one of his friends and how much this upset him. The next time I went Justin had me wait 45 minutes for my cut. And this time they booked me with someone else even though I had requested Justin. The guy - someone new - who did my cut did a horrible job. Not only was my pompadour not cut short enough like I asked specifically for, but he shaved off my long sideburns without asking and didn't even bother to even them out - one was like an inch longer than other. The last two times I went neither barber was able to actually get my pompadour to stand up and simply slicked it back, which I hate and is not what I asked for. Hawleywood's has to get their act together. If you screw up someone's appointment then apologize at least, or give them a beer or a discount or something. It's called customer service. No wonder so many of the barbers are leaving and the customers with them. Shoddy, shoddy, shoddy. I can't believe I have to go get my hair cut somewhere else again less than a week after a cut cause the guy barely cut it down.
