Tips for Pacific Automotive

September 27, 2012

READ THIS TO SAVE MONEY and TIME! Pacific Auto is the BEST and ONLY auto repair shop to go to. Let me tell you what happened.

1) Our car was bucking terribly and had no power. There error code PO708, which means the transmission sensor needed replacement. But we didn’t know that at the time. So we went to Precision Tune, who told us to tune up the car. Their diagnosis they owed us was not offered because the tune up had to come first. Obviously the tune up didn’t help at all. Out 200 bucks!

2) We went back to Precision after the tune up and asked them if the Co2 sensor might be bad, because we read about it on the web. They replaced that. Another 200 bucks gone. We figured it had to be the trans, so we;ll go to the best trans shop – no problem.

3) So we went to Mission Viejo Transmission, which had great reviews. They told us to replace the Catalytic Converter for $650.00. It’s normally 500 - 600 bucks. The Cat was not bad at all. You could feel the exhaust coming out the back w/o much restriction. However, they didn’t charge us. So that was appreciated. Thank God we didn’t waste money on the catalytic converter.

4) Finally my wife’s girlfriend just happened to know what the problem was. We took it to Kevin at Pacific Auto. He kept it for two days and took his time to figure it out. He agree it was the trans sensor and also the MAF sensor. He told us $185 for the trans sensor= but after he cleaned the MAF sensor he kept the price at $185! Can you believe that? No one does that anymore.

Anyway, why my wife and her girlfriend know more than 2 major auto shops I’ll never know? But it’s a crime, and expensive, and there were un researched suggestions that could have even more that we already wasted. And the extra time wasted was tremendous!

SAVE MONEY and TIME and bring you auto problem to Pacific Auto Repair. You’ll be so thankful, like us. Kevin took his time and figured out the problem. He charged us less than we expected. That never ever happens. The car’s running well at last. This shop is amazing, absolutely amazing!

Honest, quality work. I am new to town and did not know where to take my car when my power steering belt broke. AAA towed me to Pacific Automotive. The people there were very friendly and explained exactly what was wrong with my car (broken clutch on the air compressor). They were able to fix the air compressor so I did not have to buy a new one, which saved me a lot of money. I felt that the people with whom I dealt were very honest, knowledgeable and fair. The work was done quickly. I will definitely take my car back to this shop for future maintainance and repairs.
