Best Sushi around. This place has the best and freshest sushi in the area. I am not to big on there rolls, but if you like fresh sushi and sashimi this is the place to go. Always a great selection of fish, and they always have amazing Toro!

Best, Fresh Sushi in town. My boyfriend and I are always on a hunt for a good Sushi restaurant. I almost don't want to write a review because that'll mean a longer wait.

With that said... I typically have the worst side effects from eating fish (bad stomach aches). Koi's is the only restaurant I could go to without feeling any of that. Their fish is so fresh, so unbelievely soft, and it does literally melt in your mouth. I'm in love with their Fatty Tuna, Salmon, & Hamachi. Their soft shell crab is amazing! We pay on average about 100-$150 for the both of us for sushi, appetizers, and a few drinks...sometimes $200 depending on how much we drink. If you could ignore the mean hostess guy, the long wait, and price tag...then by all means go. The sushi chefs are friendly and offer the best recommendations on their best fish of the day.

A Hidden Gem!. Seriously, I tried so many sushi places in LA and I was quite pleased to dine over here. They have some fresh fishes that will meet both American sushi lovers and Traditional Japanese Authentic taste sushi too. Its very crowded so go there early to avoid the lines. Don't go there if you want to order something like tempura or teriyaki chicken, its a sushi restaurant afterall.

I highly recommended their "golden eye" fish (Kin Madae), Kuhada, aji , and ankimo. Their blue fin toro and albacore (bin naga) toro is also top notch. Price is decent for sushi houses (not OVERLY expensive, but still ~150/for 2 ppl. Fun dining experiences!

Leaves much to be desired. Even though I had a reservation, I still had to wait an hour at the mercy of a very unfriendly hostess. For a second there, I wondered if I was invisible. When finally getting a table, I mentioned that an apology would have been nice. Once she thought I was out of earshot, she called me a name that I won't repeat. Thankfully, our waiter was great, but the food was disappointing, except for the dessert. The prices and the food don't match up. You can definitely get better sushi for a quarter of the price in LA. I think it's safe to say that I will never be going back.

Good sushi, good service. Period.. Koi Restaurant is great place if you're looking for sushi and meals. They've got a wide variety of lunch and dinner combinations. I myself went to the restaurant during lunch hours. The fish is good and the service is exceptional for only having 2 servers running the entire restaurant. The ambiance is great (ideal for a date) and it's not loud like most other sushi places. While they may have a large amount of fresh food, the prepation and presentation fall short of my expectations. The dishes look bland and aren't really garnished. Dishes look like they've seen better days, but I guess Koi has been around for some time and doesn't really feel like changing out their hardware. This is a good restaurant just slightly above average because of their exceptional service. The fish is OK but not the best in town. Haru-Haru Sushi is just around the corner and they have EXCEPTIONAL service and fish. However, I give Koi a thumbs up if you're looking for a new sushi place to take a date and you've got some money to spend.

Awesome!. Best sushi in town, outside L.A.! Their sushi is so fresh, it just melts-in-your-mouth-uum-hmm-good!!! Ask for Mia if you're gonna be at the sushi bar.

Closes between 2 pm to 5 pm, so if you're coming after 5 pm, there might be a little wait! But "patience is a virtue," their sushi is worth the wait!

Excellent sushi!. I have eaten sushi in a lot of cities around the US and I must say that the sushi here is so fresh it melts in your mouth. I highly recommend the toro and albacore sashimi. Most of the sashimi was high quality and not very expensive, considering what you pay at other places with "hipper" atmosphere. This place definitely had a customers wrapped around the block on a Monday night at 7!! Try it!
