The closest to Northeast Italian that we've found since we moved here (from the Northeast). My husband found A'Roma when he relocated to CA and ate dinner there every night before I moved out. The Ferraris have warmly welcomed us and our families when they visit. It's difficult to find "real" Italian food in Orange County (where we now live) after growing up in Boston and NY, and this place offers the real thing. The tomato/mascarpone sauce that comes with the warm focaccia is to die for, and we each get our own little bowl of it. The veal chop and osso bucco are excellent, and we've never, ever had anything we didn't enjoy. The lively bar is great before or after dinner, and the varied wine list is sure to please. I wish we lived closer, as we'd be there at least once a week.

Great Food, Great Service - Great Ownership in a suprisingly good spot. As a frequent visitor from Texas, and as a frequent traveller, I've always sought to find a "home" when out of town. There is no restaurant that has proven to be a better place for me to call home than A'Roma's. A friend and co-worker introduced me to A'Roma, and at first in sampling some of the lesser menu items, I wondered why he found it so good. However, having learned to focus on the better selections... i.e. the veal dishes, and the specials, I've found A'Roma to be an outstanding Italian restaurant. It's family owned, with the owner, his wife and his sons all involved in the business. The bar is quite a friendly place, the focus of the staff is on each customer's happiness, and I've found them very responsive to my requests.

If you order the specials, try out a few of the more challenging menu selections, I don't think that you'll be disappointed. A'Roma has become my favorite place to visit in the "south County" L.A. area..... close to Cerritos, Norwalk, Buena Park, etc...... it's located in a strip center right off of the 91..... and off of Orangethorpe. Never did I expect to find a home near a LaQuinta (where I expect a Denny's to be about as good a place to eat as one might find).....

A'Roma is one of my all-time favorites while on the road.....

Great Food, Great Service. When I was looking for the address to this restaurant, I saw the preceding review, and I thought to myself "There is one disgruntled customer." The prior review, however, completely and unfairly misrepresents the service at A' Roma Ristorante.

The restaurant is hosted by its owners, Lou and his charming wife Josie. It is a family affair with the couple's sons and daughter also working at the restaurant.

I was dining there following my son's college graduation ceremony with a party of five. I love to cook Italian food myself, and I am always on the lookout for excellent restaurant faire. I decided to try the rissotto special with mushrooms and chunks of filet mignon because I love my own rissottos. A'Roma's rissotto was perfection, the rice forming a delicate and tasty "sauce" from proper constant stirring while adding additional liquid, flavored by the mushrooms and beef.

The service was excellent: each bottle of wine properly presented, the salad and main courses timely served, with dessert and coffee served promptly thereafter. The promptness of service, however, did not seem hurried, and we were free to enjoy our meal, dessert and coffee at our own pace.

I have rated this restaurant highly recommended without reservation.

Bad Services. The services appear to be good until you have a problem. Then they can become very, very rude. I have been a patron there for ten years, until one day I had a miscommunications about reservation, they thought we booked it but we did not commit, then all the decades of patronage went out of window. They actually are trying to charge $215 to my credit card without my authorization. I would caution about giving them your credit card.

Great evening. I have had the pleasure of this "Italian Ristorante" many times. The food has always been excellent and the service to match... Very nice wine list... and they have even added a small bar for the times you may have a short wait. Several years ago my wife gave me a surprise birthday party with 35 plus people and we all had a great time.
