I have been a patient here for over ten years. I had Restylane, Botox, Scuptra, and two different kinds of lasers here. I really appreciate being able to have access to all of this, plus get moles and psoriasis treated in one place. This office has pretty advanced technology...they call by two days before to confirm appointments and is automated. I also get a birthday letter and discount every year and the doctors have whole walls of certificates, which look real (ha ha). Having been there many times, my only criticism is that it is a very busy office except I know that is because they have every treatment from the new lasers to these photo light boxes I use for my psoriasis. Generally they run pretty much on time, and they are good at billing my insurance and keeping me out of it.
Pros: Have latest technology and comfortable office, covered parking
Cons: Sometimes too busy and I had to wait, but other times seen ahead of schedule...

I made an appointment because I have been to several other dermatologists who were very quick and didn't spend time with me. My rash got better but always came back. Beach Cities Dermatology verified my insurance benefits and told me what to expect as far as office procedures go. They left a message that I had a deductible and so when I called back and spoke to the office manager, she explained exactly how my insurance works. Then when I got to the office, I was put in the room quickly because I had already filled out my new patient forms by downloading online. I saw Dr. Ammar on my first visit and Dr. Wickwire on my follow up. They were helpful and also found some other problems with sun damage that had been missed by my old dermatologist in Illinois. My rash is now gone and even better I now know how to prevent it, which nobody else helped me with before. For my sun damage, I had the Fotofacial treatments which were done by the nurse practicioner, and she is GREAT! They have everything at this office and I wouldn't go anywhere else.
Pros: Fixed what other doctors didn't, and have all the technology
Cons: I don't like to wait and nobody has that perfected yet...
