Coast to coast, Sonic is the most!.
Kind of a throw-back to the drive-ins of the 50s and 60s, but they were never this good! From the delicious tater tots with chili and cheese to the steak sandwiches on Texas toast to the Coney dogs, if you can't find something you like on the Sonic menu, well, there's something wrong with you. Service at this Sonic can be a bit leisurely (the one we stopped at in Georgia was pretty quick), and they don't seem to like wearing the skates like at the new one over on Placentia near Chapman, but they draw an interesting crowd of car clubs and other characters. Stop by the See's shop across Orangethorpe if the desserts don't fit your fancy, but by all means, stop by just for the fun of it!

if you going to have fast food, get SONIC!.
As far as fast food goes, this place is way different than all the other places I've ever been. I first had sonic's in MISSISSIPPI, it was so much fun and so cool compared to you're standard drive thru. You get to have your own individual menu and spot and order your food and they bring in right out to your car. They have a lot of different things on their menu but I really go there for the drinks! they have over 150 drink combo's you can make with all the flavorings they have. I would suggest sprite with a coconut and a blue Hawaii flavoring, its so tropical! Also the prices there are right, its cheap and fun. what more could you ask for? the service isn't great or anything but it doesn't really matter since your eating in your car anyways. But don't worry if you don't want to eat in your car you can eat at some of the outside seating they provide which also have their own menus! I would suggest everyone give it a try at least once!

Retro-outfitted servers deliver burgers, malts and sandwiches to your car at this '50s-style drive-in chain..
In Short
Founded in 1953 as a hamburger-and-root-beer stand, this nostalgic eatery is known for its intercom ordering system and roller-skating carhops. While servers rarely roller skate anymore, the famous made-to-order, all-beef burgers and thick malts are still menu favorites. Other signature items include Toaster sandwiches (made with thick Texas toast), extra-long chili and cheese hot dogs and hand-battered onion rings and tater tots. Desserts include chocolate, vanilla and strawberry shakes and fresh fruit slushes.
