Call for hours
This is a great place to take the kids - just be prepared to wait OR call in advance to get a reservation. The highlight is they are acutely aware of food allergies and are more than accommodating. My pick so far is actually the burger. Predictable and easy.
Whenever we visit the Disney parks in Anaheim we eat at the Rainforest Cafe.
Never a disappointment.
We were seated immediately, our server (LQ) brought me coffee when she took our order. I ordered the 'cisco and pancho' with rare steak, scrambled eggs, home potatoes, and a buttered english muffin. Wife and granddaughter ordered 'breakfast of bandits' with bacon, scrambled eggs, home potatoes, and toast (wife asked to substitute the toast with fresh fruit and they were happy to accomodate) The manager (Stacy) came by to ask how everything was right when I was cutting into my steak, and I was happy to say "Perfect". Another manager came by (Linda) to check, and we were all real happy to say everything was excellent. Needless to say, breakfast was fantastic, as usual when we come to the Rainforest Cafe. Our server checked on us at regular intervals, and gave better than expected service. I can't speak highly enough about this place, as it says on their coffee cups, "it's a great place to eat!"

Come here every few months, and never disappointed. Come here every few months, and never disappointed. My wife and I enjoy the ambiance, but the food is why we come. It's normally breakfast, and I order the steak (rare) and scrambled eggs, potatoes, and english muffin. My steak is always good, but sometimes it's absolutely fantastic. Our server (LQ) is the greatest, always super attentive to our needs, even to making sure my english muffin is buttered before coming to tjhe table, and that I get a great perfectly cooked steak every time we come. The managers (Stacy and Nancy) go above and beyond too, checking on us to be sure we are having a great experience. My wife orders the bacon, scrambled eggs, potatoes, and they substitute her toast with fresh fruit. When we bring the grandkids they always get great meals too, as well as enjoy the scenery in the restaurant. I highly recommend this Rainforest Cafe over all the others we have been to, the staff shows they have real teamwork, and it makes such a huge difference.
Good food, crowded place – I went to this Rainforest Cafe in Anaheim and the one in Las Vegas and thye both were the same. The food was good(not great, but ok) and it was slightly overpriced. We waited about 45 for a table for 4, but looking around the gift shop made the time go by alittle quicker. The restaurant looks like something out of Indiana Jones, full of tropical animals, and some african animals and alot of vegetation, a huge aquarium, and fire shooting out the top of the building with acouple of fater falls, overall i think i might go back but its not my first choice in restaurants.
GRAIT FOR ENTERTAINMENT WHILE EATING, FOODS GREAT TOO. – ALL THE SOUND AFFECTS EVERY 1/2 HR THE FOOD, A FRIEND TOOK ME THEIR TO CELEBRATE MY BIRTH DAY THIS JANUARY AND I LOVED IT I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE, ITS SOMETHING DIFFERENT FROM ANOTHER BASIC RESTAURANT
This cartoon jungle is a child's wonderland, with waterfalls, swinging monkeys and a canopy of faux flora and fauna. – In Short
While waiting for a table, hungry diners prowl the retail village, where cash-register ka-chings compete with chirping birds, roaring lions and chest-thumping gorillas. When the lights start to flicker, never fear--thunderstorms are part of the show. The menu is American comfort food--pastas, burgers, pizzas and salads--served with a tropical flair. There are plenty options that the kids will recognize, but enough novelty to keep the parents happy.
avoid weekends – the food is great i can't rave enough about the rasta pasta and the awesome appetizer. However I have had two bad experinces with the rain forest cafe the first was when my mother came into town we went to rain forest and we also bought a cake with us the resturant offered to place it in their refrigarator while we enjoyed our dinner when it was time to eat our cake the waitress laughed and stated she had dropped our cake, the resturant did provide us with another cake, and we were compensated on the bill for the price of the cake, however my husband went with some of our friends this weekend and we had the best service from our waiter at the time brett but his breaker was very rude he snatched the plates out of our hands and he also didn't ask was everything okay or how did we enjoy our food it was very dissapointing to say that my mother and our friends had experinced both bad experinces.
Great Family Fun!! – The Food is average (burgers, salads, ribs) but tasty. The wait can get a little long but for parents of young children the atmosphere & experience is well worth it. The place is so much fun. My family goes every time we are at Downtown Disney & never regret it.....lotsa family fun
Fun place! – The wait can be a bit long, but it just feels like you are somewhere else dining here..I love the fish tank sorrounding the place...the food is just your basic staples with a bit of a twist...a tropical twist like adding cucumbers to a chicken plate or the coconut chicken strips...it may be a bit pricey but a great, cheery experience
love the atmosphere! – My boyfriend and I met up with some friends here for lunch. I love the atmosphere; there's a simulated tropical thunderstorm every half hour. Also, they have animatronic animals too. It's so much fun! Their food is great: I love the coconut battered chicken strips and their chinese chicken salad. The service was slow. We were put in the back and were forgotten. Our drinks were rarely refilled and it took awhile to get the bill. But, the food was wonderful.
Aww, it's cute! – Honestly, don't come here expecting world-class food or highbrow society. It's for families and it's fun! We were seated near the silverback gorilla that would growl and beat its chest. I feel bad for the couple that was seated immediately beneath it as I'm sure they were annoyed. The place darkens and turns into a monsoon several times during the meal, and a booklet explaining the different animals found in the rainforest make things a bit more educational. The food is decent if not a bit steep for what it is, but just imagine the overhead at a place like that. I've been here several times and as long as you call in ahead, the wait times aren't too bad. A welcome respit from the beating sun on a hot summer afternoon.
Meh – Basically, just another gimmicky nature restaurant (though it comes nowhere close to the Mayan in Utah, in which speedoed men jump off giant rocks... ridiculous). The food isn't bad, but is very overpriced.
