This is a great place to take the kids - just be prepared to wait OR call in advance to get a reservation. The highlight is they are acutely aware of food allergies and are more than accommodating. My pick so far is actually the burger. Predictable and easy.
Cool Atmosphere, Bad Food. There seems to always be a long wait for this place. The decor is awesome. Kids will love the jungle atmosphere. But that doesn't make up for the bad food. Would not go back.
Overrated, High Prices, Loud and Noisy. Kids will love this place, but if you want a quiet lunch or dinner, this isn't for you. We had the misfortune of being seated under the two elephants who trumpeted every 15 minutes, much to the delight of the table full of kids sitting behind us who kept kicking my chair and climbing over me to touch their trunks. Food prices are a little high, my lunch of crabcakes was delicious but far too much food for a lunch item. Being that we were in Disney for rides, etc. I couldn't take leftovers with me. Long waits for a table. Dinnertime is even worse than lunch, expect an hour or more wait unless you want to eat at 4 pm.
Rip Off. This place is a complete joke. The prices are absolutely outrageous for such terrible food. We have tried on several occasions to catch a good meal here after getting sucked into their fun atmosphere. Time and time again we promise never to return. We have learned to just quickly walk by their store in the Ontario Mills before our son begs us to go in. I think that is the only way they get business...by appealing to our young children. My word of advice is to avoid that part of the mall altogether until they can provide decent palatable food or lower their prices (haven't they recouped their investment yet?).
Calling all monkeys!. This is the place to bring your own little monkeys as the rain forest is all around you and the atmosphere is great! There are animated animals everywhere for the children to enjoy. And the gift shop is pretty nice. Food is well priced for the ambience that you'll enjoy!
(Don't) Save the Rainforest. The decor is beautiful but it doesn't compensate for the mass produced food. Looking over the breakfast menu I couldn't help but wonder why they didn't allow substitutions on the eggs (scrambled was the only choice). It's because they make everything in advance and keep it under heatlamps. Seriously, the waiter actually told me this. Yeah, tropical mists are good and all, but there's something to be said for fresh food, too.
Great Atmosphere. I recently visited this restaurant for the first time, and it was a great experience. A lot of thought and time went into the decor in this place.... it was very nice. It took a while for me to decide on what to get on a very well-rounded menu. I ordered a steak, and it was great, perfectly seasoned nice cut of meat. I had a really good time
