While it's not the best food, their Happy Hour menu suffices when you want a Disneyland/CA Adv break. The burger is decent but my favorite is the Gospel Brunch. It's a trip back to the South with soul food and soul music.
Actual Hours of Operation. Went there the other night for dinner and the food was amazing! They got a new menu not too long ago and it's great! Service was even better! However, they are actually open from Monday-Sunday 11:00AM-close & on Saturdays they are open at 9:00AM for Reggae Brunch. Definitely coming in on a Saturday morning for some Reggae music!
Good environment. Had a blast last week. I will be taking my wife here to see pink Floyd cover band
Good Drinking Spot. HOB is a good drinking spot if you're in Anaheim on a week night or stuck at Disneyland with your family. They offer late-night specials and the bartenders have always been excellent. The concept of gratuity being based on their level of service seems to have eluded the waiters though. They're more concerned with socializing than doing their job. Your dining experience will only get worse once the food arrives...it's horrible. Eat before you arrive, sit at the bar and everything will be okay.
A Complete family Outing. I've been a frequent customer at the Anaheim. Suddenly, one of my friend suggested me for this place at the moment when I was looking for a place to take my fun-loving extended family to brunch, that time. They served us some of the very best food of Disneyland. It was really delicious. Their staff was very attentive and friendly. Everything was just perfect. I love this place due to its location and atmosphere.
Worthwhile restaurant at the resort..
One of my very best experiences on our Disneyland trip was when we visited the House of Blues. Not only did it remind me of days when I was able to boogie a little more, we were also served some of the very best food we had at Disneyland. At we even dined at the best establishments Disneyland had to offer. This particular stop was just because "it was there" and we were tired, and wanted to take a seat for a while. We were pleasantly surprised of the good food, and the exemplary service from our server.
This is one establishment that I definitely recommend for you not to miss as it was the only worthwhile restaurant at the resort.
Horrible concert venue.
Went to see Foreigner. Paid $52.00 and left early.
Security very rude upon entry; Supervisor told me he must be "Having a bad day." Yeah right
Went upstairs and the only available seating was round wooden barstools. View of band was completely blocked . The big screens used to show the band playing need to be replaced. Color bad, picture fuzzy.
Total nightmare. NEVER AGAIN!!!!
Worse Experience Ever!!!. We had a horrible time at this restaurant. The hosts had bad attitude, they were unfriendly and were very unprofessional toward guests. We were told that the wait would be an hour long but it ended up over an hour an a half. Then when it was finally our turn, they made us stand on the side and kept on saying they were getting our table ready, so we waited for like 15 more minutes then they told us they made a mistake and said there was no table ready for us. Finally after a two hours wait we finally got a table. The food was only ok. I didn't think the food was worthed for the price. I will definitely not going back to this restaurant, and I will never recommend this place to anyone!
Best Concert Venue. Out of all the venues in all the different cities I?ve been to the House of Blues in Downtown Disneyland is by far my favorite. The place is small and has so many different levels no matter where you go the acoustics are great. I especially like to sit in the upper portion right above the stage. Come early to snag a spot in line and keep in mind that with a location like this tickets are usually sold out ahead of time.
BEST CONCERT VENUE. The House of Blues is probably the best concert venue in america. They always have top notch bands and no matter where your standing your up close. Security keeps things in check, and their prices for tickets are very reasonable
Poor Food Quality.
We were at the HOB Anaheim for a concert on 10/10/06. We decided to have dinner beforehand and we were pretty disappointed. I ordered the burger with fries and my girlfriend ordered the Jambalaya. The fries in my meal tasted lukewarm and stale like they were three hours old. The Jambalaya was a disaster. The sausage was overcooked and tough, the sauce was bland and tasted like it was straight out of a can, the meal was not hot, and it just didnt taste very good overall.
The service was a different story. Our waitress was very kind and attentive. She brought us refills without us asking for them and she made many visits to our table.
My main gripe about the food being bad was that this place seems to bill itself as a great place to eat. The name of the Executive Chef and sous-chefs are prominently displayed at the top of the menu. If you visit their websites, theyll show you pictures of the food & desserts and describe the menu as Distinctive Southern Cuisine. Unfortunately, our first impression of the food at the Anaheim location was that the food staff doesnt really care about the quality. If you choose to eat here, try to order items that are hard to screw up.
